ReLondon has launched two new circular economy business support streams for small London-based businesses as part of its business transformation programme.
The new support streams – one for every day high street food and drink businesses, and the second for circular innovators – are designed to empower businesses to embrace circularity, transform the way they work and create long-term sustainable value and growth.
High Streets Beyond Waste – Support for high street food and drink businesses
For this second round of ReLondon’s High Streets Beyond Waste programme, small, high street food and drink businesses are invited attend a webinar to learn how the circular economy can benefit their business and then apply for a one-to-one session with a business advisor, resulting in a bespoke action plan of practical ideas they can try. Those that participate will then be invited to apply for a grant of up to £5,000 to support them in bringing their chosen actions to life.
This support is available to high street food and drink business (eat in or takeaway), such as:
- Pubs and bars
- Restaurants and diners
- Cafés and coffee shops
- Takeaway shops and kiosks
- Hot food market stalls and vans
To be eligible, businesses must:
- Be small or medium-sized (fewer than 250 employees)
- Have a physical trading address in London, accessible to the public
- Be actively trading (i.e. not pre-startup)
This support is funded by the Mayor of London and UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Catalyse Circular Growth – Advice for circular innovators
This year ReLondon is focussing its highly-rated advisory support on helping circular businesses in its community harness the growth opportunities emerging from London’s new Growth Plan, its priority industries, public sector bodies and local anchor institutions.
ReLondon is looking for small, circular economy innovators that offer B2B solutions that enable other industries to become more circular – e.g. food waste monitoring equipment for restaurants, prop reuse facilities for theatres, or technology for more efficient manufacturing.
By first joining ReLondon’s circular business community, businesses can apply for one-to-one consultancy support to explore potential growth opportunities emerging from the new London Growth Plan.
To be eligible for support businesses will need to:
- be London-based, small or medium-sized business (fewer than 250 employees)
- have a industry-facing (B2B) circular economy product or service
- have a circular business model at the core of what they’re doing – minimising resource use or waste creation, or enabling others to do so
Priority will be given to businesses who are not already signed up the Grow London Early Stage programme, that also meet the criteria below:
- at least 2 employees (including founders)
- trading for at least 18 months
- turnover, or investment, of at least £50,000 in the last 12 months
This support is part of London & Partners’ Grow London Early Stage programme and is funded by the Mayor of London and UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
