Technician / Engineering Intern

Your Role:

As an engineering intern you will be working together with the R&D team under the Lead Engineer to assist in the development of a smart sustainable additive manufacturing micro-factory. Your role is critical to the success of the team. You and the other members of the engineering team will be working in collaboration to deliver ground-breaking advances in additive manufacturing that will feed directly into the Batch.Works existing production model. Batch.Works is a rapidly growing business, and this exciting role will come with opportunities to play a key role in our journey and excel your career in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of a new additive manufacturing platforms
• Design and develop parts for additive manufacturing technologies
• Assemble and test prototypes
• Take directive but work autonomously, owning your work, and seeking support and approvals where necessary

Requirements:

• Working effectively without close supervision
• Interest in hand-on prototype building
• Able to demonstrate practical relevant experience
• Knowledge of additive manufacturing
• Good problem-solving skills

Desirables (depending on discipline):

• Experience using 3D Printing technology
• Experience using a 3D modelling software (we use fusion 360)
• Understanding of electronics and control systems
• Interest in automation or robotic systems

Salary: £25,000-£30,000
