Production Assistants (Part-Time & Full-Time)

As a Production Assistant at BIOHM, you will contribute to our product manufacturing, taking on a role in our London bio-manufacturing team supporting our research, development & operations.

This hands-on role requires a flexible but hard-working person willing to support bio-manufacturing at BIOHM.

This role would suit someone looking for flexible part-time work as well as those looking for a regular working pattern.

What you need to be great at

  • Diligent and engaged | strong attention to detail, process driven and able to follow standard procedures whilst working with the wider team to find appropriate solutions to resolve challenges.
  • Organised and effective | Outstanding time management skills to manage workload to achieve efficient outcomes. Demonstrate your ability to work independently after being given a list of tasks whilst adhering to all safety guidelines, standards and material handling instructions in the facility.
  • Climate Action Champion | Passionate about taking immediate action to address our climate crisis and determined to make a significant impact.
  • Compulsive co-operator | Not afraid to seek direction from senior team members; able to involve and engage other team members; able to communicate technical details and progress succinctly and clearly; patient and considerate whilst working with people with different expertise.
  • Pro-active and optimistic | Realistic and honest about not knowing something; confident in your decisions but able to learn; motivated and always determined.

What you will be doing

  • Material production | Efficiently operate factory equipment by following standard operating procedures and protocols. Monitor production and conduct quality checks.
  • Manufacturing | Working with and processing raw materials, assisting senior operatives in biomanufacturing processes, and categorising, measuring and reporting outputs at all stages of production.
  • Equipment maintenance | Ensure all machinery runs smoothly and tools and equipment are in excellent working condition by cleaning, maintaining, and generally looking after machinery as you are trained to do so.
  • Working safely | Ensure that the highest standards of safety are maintained and adhere to all health & safety requirements. Report concerns, issues or incidents immediately.
  • Facility upkeep | Ensure the facility is clean, tidy and ready for production

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Part-Time/Full-time rolls are available | Ideally between 20 hours to 40 hours a week
  • Salary: London Living Wage – hourly pay
