ABOUT DAME

At DAME we believe women deserve better. That’s why we’re cleaning up the period industry, focusing on plastic waste, harsh chemicals and period shame. In January 2019 we launched the world’s first reusable tampon applicator, to tackle the 1.3 billion single-use applicators thrown away in the UK every year, along with our own organic, biodegradable tampons. Since then we’ve grown a community of amazing customers in over 60 countries, secured nationwide listings in most major retailers, and saved nearly 3 million plastic applicators from entering landfill and our oceans.

We’re also proud to be a certified B Corp and the first ever Carbon Neutral Plus brand, demonstrating that we meet the highest environmental and ethical standards. We’ve recently launched our second product, reusable period pads, which include patent-pending design technology to make them softer, thinner, drier and greener.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Reporting directly to our Operations Manager, as Operations Executive you will be taking on responsibilities across DAME’s supply chain. This includes being the main point of contact for our retail orders, as well as our small stockists, and seeing the fulfilment process through from start to finish. You will assist our Operations Manager with creating purchase orders and monitoring the ordering process. You will work closely with our 3PL to plan the kitting of products and monitor the KPIs set out between our 3PL and DAME to make sure we are delivering the best experience possible to our customers. You will be required to provide routine and ad-hoc information to the management team to support operational decision-making. Together with our Operations Manager, you will develop our carbon footprint model to gain valuable insights about our supply chain and implement our carbon offset plan. Your main objective is to always be on the lookout for ways we can make our operational processes more efficient. Being able to spot opportunities for improvement is key.

PRACTICAL DETAILS

Salary of £23-25k pro rata. Cleaning up the period industry is a big job so we care for our team well and you’ll be able to help shape a sustainable challenger brand.
