TOPUP TRUCK – the refill store that floats to your door – is an innovative social enterprise startup which aims to disrupt the refill market – making it easier for people to shop without plastic packaging by bringing the store to peoples’ streets on an electric vehicle. Now two years old and has received a lot of media attention for its innovative approach to plastic reduction – having been featured in Timeout; The World Economic Forum, Reuters, BBC Radio, The Grocer Magazine, Waste-Ed and many other publications.

The team is small and friendly and we are looking for dynamic people to play an integral part in helping TOPUP TRUCK get to the next stage in its journey.

An exciting opportunity to drive the Milk Float and help the people of Hackney and Tottenham shop without plastic.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who is eager to learn fast, work hard and do something different. It is a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience and have real responsibility, being part of a small team at a critical time in the growth of an innovative sustainable business.

Key Duties

• Driving the float
• Serving customers
• Building the network of refillers
• Restocking the float
• Other operational and marketing based activities

What we require

• Full clean UK driving license
• Decent level of physical fitness
• Over 30 years of age (the insurance requires it annoyingly)
• Interest in enhancing local community
• Ability to juggle routing, fulfilling orders, talking to people, handling food and explaining the concept at once
• Ability to work under pressure
• Passion for the environment

Hours

​Dependent on the candidate, 1-5 days per week including one weekend day

Will involve working evenings.

Shifts are 5-8 hours long
