Marketing Manager

Posted: 15/01/24 | Deadline: 15/02/24

UpCircle values a diverse workforce. Women, people of colour, people with disabilities and members of the LGBTQIA+ community are strongly encouraged to apply. If there is anything we can do to accommodate you to participate fully in the recruitment or interview process please let us know by emailing hello@upcirclebeauty.com.

We’re looking for an experienced marketer, someone with a passion for brand building, campaign management and communications to help build on the foundations we’ve set over the last seven years, expanding our reach and growing our customer base through carefully strategised marketing initiatives.

We need someone who is confident to take the reins. Someone who can identify which opportunities are “worth it” and which aren’t. Someone who’s confident to look at the next 6 months and define a marketing strategy and key goals. Someone who can assess what’s working and what’s not and put in place changes, directing other members in the marketing team on implementing those changes and then reporting back on findings thereafter.

The big question is what should the brand do next from a marketing perspective? Should we do another out of home campaign? What might that look like? Should we run a second TV ad campaign? What might that look like? Should we apply for a government grant? Try to get a celeb ambassador? What should our Black Friday strategy be this year? What creatives should we be testing on digital ads? These are the sorts of things we want someone to come in and take control of, from start to finish.

We’re a small team and each of us is fully responsible for our daily, weekly and monthly tasks. If you’ve got great ideas we want to hear them, and then we want to see you make them a reality.

The person who fulfils this role will be excited by the prospect of project managing. They’ll also be a very confident and proficient writer, capable of taking on the UpCircle tone of voice.

In return, we can offer you a high level of responsibility, fast-paced start-up action, enormous opportunity to learn and to build your skillset.

Job is available to start immediately.

Upcircle

Our business is centred on innovation, our tagline is “Pioneering skincare. Regenerative by design.”

Nature gives us lots of wonderful ingredients that make our skin healthier and more radiant – like used coffee grounds, fruit stones and chai tea spices. But they often end up going to landfill. Why should all that good stuff go to waste?

It shouldn’t. That’s why, at UpCircle, we elevate leftover natural ingredients, bringing them back to life as beauty products your skin will love.

“Natural” is the new “normal” and normal is boring. That's why we go a step further with our waste-fighting formulations. What other beauty brand can claim that their products have saved literally hundreds of tonnes of valuable ingredients from ending up in landfill?
