Head of B2B Retail (part time)

The Dizzie Head of Retail will take total responsibility for our B2B retail channel.

  • Help make reusable packaging a global solution for reducing packaging waste
  • Join a small, values-driven team at a fast-growing, innovative, backed start-up
  • Hybrid, mainly remote, working
  • Part-time position (up to 24 hours per week)
  • Salary £40-55k FTE per annum (i.e £27k – £38k) + travel allowance + 20% bonus
  • Closing date 10th March 2023.

About you

We’re on the lookout for a self-starter who has previously owned accounts with national grocers. The ideal candidate will be excited by growing sales as well as keen to develop the strategy and improve the proposition. Someone who understands the need for attention to detail and is able to embed processes and controls as required, contribute to strategy and commercial modeling.

You will work closely with the Exec Team and interact with all aspects of the business including Ops, NPD, Dev and Product.

What you’ll do

Planning

  • Lead the commercial vision by sharing account perspectives, risks, and opportunities.
  • Build internal retailer-specific development plans, from engagement to P+L budgets.
  • Developing our compelling story to get retailer buy-in.
  • Working with current and prospective retailers to build comprehensive joint business plans, including trade marketing and digital marketing, to drive awareness of Dizzie and to deliver sustained growth for the business.

Executing

  • Execute the Account negotiations and plan adaptation when needed.
  • Build customer intelligence and a strong network with key stakeholders.
  • Understand performance – from sales, and waste to retention and lifetime value

Growth

  • Drive listings of new product launches in our current and future accounts.
  • Increase distribution and geographical coverage
  • Working collaboratively with Operations and Marketing in the development of new products based on retailer feedback.

KPIs

  • Distribution depth, breadth, and longevity of our range across the UK, focusing on NPD launches and partner requirements
  • Revenue and profitability
  • Customer feedback
  • Team Engagement: Working collaboratively with customer teams to deliver customer plans that drive growth and rate of sale/purchase in all accounts.

Functional Competency Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a (Senior) National Account Manager or Sales Manager in food, groceries, or broader FMCG
  • Proficient in bricks and mortar and e-commerce
  • Demonstrable negotiation experience
  • Strong ability to build and maintain successful relationships with key partners
  • In-depth understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Hands-on experience building and managing a P&L

We’re a small but experienced, values-driven, cross-functional remote team composed of ops, dev, sales, and finance.

Culture & work/life

We’re a remote team working flexible hours (but generally available between 10 am – 4 pm GMT) to accommodate busy lives with friends and family, but attendance at face-to-face strategy, All Hands, and/or social days in London will be required once a week.

Ideally, the candidate will be available 5 days a week for a total of up to 24 hours, but we’re happy to discuss what works for both of us.
