ReWear grants – Helping Londoners reduce the need for newly made clothes (applications closed)
Calling London's innovators! Does your business help Londoners to make the most of the clothes they already have, for example through repair, resale or rental? If so, you could be eligible for a grant of up to £15,000 to increase your impact and bring your solution to a wider audience.
This grant programme aims to support the growth of circular businesses in London while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It is part of the Pan-London Textiles Action Plan, endorsed, among others, by the Mayor of London, London Councils, the UK Fashion and Textile Association, the British Retail Consortium, and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.
This is an exciting opportunity to take your business to the next level and revolutionise London's fashion ecosystem.
Applications for the ReWear grants are now closed.

What’s on offer?
Thanks to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, London-based small businesses can now apply for grants of up to £15,000 to help Londoners make the most of existing clothes.
The funding can be flexibly used to expand your business operations and amplify your impact.
Applicants must show how the grant will drive business growth and create positive environmental impact.
Who is this for?
To be eligible for a grant, your business must – at its core – reduce the need for making new clothes.
While we welcome applications from any business that meets these criteria, we’re particularly interested in solutions that partner with fashion brands and retailers to transform current business practices.
Example solutions might include:
-
1
Repair providers
You’re extending the life of existing clothes by enabling brands and retailers to repair or upcycle garments.
-
2
Resale marketplaces
You’re helping brands and retailers resell the clothes that customers no longer need or want and return.
-
3
Rental platforms
You make it possible for Londoners of all ages to rent clothes over and over again instead of buying them.
Other eligibility requirements
Businesses must also:
- Be a small or medium sized business (fewer than 250 employees)
- Have a registered or trading address in London
- Have a product/service that’s available to Londoners
- Be a registered entity on Companies House
- Be able to spend the grant money by February 2025
Please download and review the grant application guidance before completing your application. It includes detailed eligibility criteria and examples of ineligible businesses.
“We must accelerate efforts that not only redesign the products we wear, but also the services and circular business models that keep them in use. By promoting business models like rental, resale, [and] repair […], and making the case for more ambitious policy and investment – London and Londoners can indeed set the trend.”
