We do this by remanufacturing high quality furniture to as-new condition and creating furniture ranges from waste materials. Furniture is the biggest source of carbon emissions in a commercial building – we reduce this by 80% while saving money for clients and creating jobs for local long-term unemployed with disabilities. Our 300+ projects prove that every office can be beautiful, sustainable and cost less.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities:

Working as an operative, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Resizing furniture including sawing and drilling table frames
  • Disassembly and Reassembly of office chairs, desks, and pedestals
  • Spray Painting including surface preparation, masking, painting, and lacquering
  • Protecting and packing finished products
  • Loading and unloading vans
  • Keeping the workshop facility as a clean and safe place to work.

The role can be labour intensive, particularly when loading and unloading trucks/vans. Although our clients’ processes use lifting aids including an electric pedestrian pallet stacker, you will need to be comfortable lifting up to 20 kg repeatedly. To be chosen for this role, you will be reliable and hardworking, with a flexible can-do attitude. And share our clients interest in recycling and reducing waste.

  • Experience and, ideally, trained in a related trade (e.g. carpentry, fitting, engineering, spray painting, handyman, furniture manufacture)
  • Willing and able to learn to use specialised tools, equipment and techniques in line with our remanufacturing techniques
  • Eligible to work in the UK

Remuneration:
Competitive and dependent on experience.
