In January 2019 we launched theworld’s first reusable tampon applicator, to tackle the 1.3 billion single-use applicators thrown awayin the UK every year, along with our own organic, biodegradable tampons. Since then we’ve grown acommunity of amazing customers in over 60 countries, secured nationwide listings in major retailers,and saved nearly 3 million plastic applicators from entering landfill and our oceans.
We’re also proudto be a certified B Corp and the first ever Carbon Neutral Plus brand, demonstrating that we meetthe highest environmental and ethical standards. We’ve recently launched our second product,reusable period pads, which include patent-pending design technology to make them softer, thinner,drier and greener.
About the Role
DAME started out selling purely on our own website, direct to consumers. However, we quicklyrealised how important it was to have our products in retailers in order to really disrupt the category.We launched into Waitrose and Boots in 2019, followed by Sainsburys and Ocado in 2020, alongwith a whole host of other amazing retail partners from Planet Organic to Selfridges. We now havestrong distribution and are building on this further by expanding our Wholesale channel. You will beresponsible for building, managing and growing the Wholesale channel, with the potential to take onother accounts within the commercial channels.
What you’ll do
New Business Development
We are at the start of developing our Wholesale channel, so looking for opportunities to acquire newend customers, or finding new wholesalers who open up different markets, is a key part of the role.
Creating and Implementing Plans
Working with Wholesalers to create, implement and review annual plans.
Developing RelationshipsBuilding strong relationships with each partner, both Wholesalers and end customers, to ensure wemaximise our opportunities.
Sales Analysis
Using the data to understand end customer performance. An ability to ensure promotions areeffective, balancing higher volumes with profitability.
P&L Management
Ensure we hit sales budgets, margin targets and invest the right amount, in the right areas.
Forecasting & Reporting
Building an accurate sales forecast, updating monthly and reporting back internally on progress.
Trade Marketing
Working with our Marketing team to create best-in-class activation material and ensuring it isproperly executed.
Commercial SupportSupporting the sales team with ad-hoc commercial tasks.

P&L Experience
Experience of managing a P&L and the ability to hit budgets. Wholesale channel experience is preferential.
Confidence & Commercial Know How
You must be comfortable communicating both internally and externally at varying levels and shouldbe able to apply commercial acumen throughout. You will need a strong knowledge of UK trade andbe passionate about keeping up to date with any changes.

Practical Details
Salary £20-25k.
Cleaning up the period industry is a big job so we care for our team well and you’ll be able to helpshape a sustainable challenger brand.
